How Mail Bagging Works

Mail Bagging works silently in the background. When your server goes offline — whether for maintenance, an outage, or a hardware failure — incoming emails are captured and held. The moment your server comes back, everything is delivered. Your senders never receive a bounce, and you never lose a message.

MX Record Failover

Mail Bagging adds a secondary MX record to your domain. When your primary server is unreachable, sending servers automatically route to the Mail Bagging system.

Spam Filtered Storage

SpamWeeder Premium filters all stored mail — so when your server comes back online, it isn't flooded with spam. Only legitimate messages are queued for delivery.

Automatic Delivery

Once your mail server is back online, stored messages are delivered automatically and in order. No manual intervention, no lost email.
